HOPE; Four letters. And yet, perhaps the only thing the world truly needs right now.

Place a glass on the table. Fill it halfway with water. Some will call it half empty. Some will insist it is half full. The glass itself remains unchanged; only the eyes that look at it decide what it becomes.

And yet, the glass is not empty.

Today the world often looks at the emptier half. Wars erupt before diplomacy can even breathe. Nations retreat behind borders of interest. We are told this is realism, that power must speak louder than morals. But history has never been generous to those who confuse ambition with altruism.

The other half exists. It lives. In voices that question. In minds that refuse to be silent. In the youth who believe that conversation can still challenge conflict.

Perhaps we cannot refill the entire glass in a single conference. But every debate, every resolution, every voice raised in reason adds another drop. And sometimes, that is how change begins.

That belief is where La Martiniere Girls’ Model United Nations finds its purpose. For over a decade, this conference has been a space where ideas collide and perspectives sharpen. Delegates learn that leadership does not equate to a powerful title or authority but to the ability to think, to listen and to speak

We warmly invite you to join us at the Eleventh Edition of LMGMUN 2026.
