La Martiniere Girls’ College is a living and breathing testament to time itself. Founded in 1869 as a part of the legacy of Major General Claude Martin, it began humbly within the walls of Moti Mahal, with fewer than a hundred students and staff. Now, it pulses with the footsteps of nearly 3,000 students, guided by over 250 mentors who uphold a legacy engraved in sweat, ink, and ambition. Once a quiet guest house for foreign travellers, its walls have seen revolutions; both historical and personal. The grand Khursheed Manzil, known as The House of the Sun, looms over the school, its history intertwined with reverberations of war and whispers of a bygone era. From serving as a mess during the Revolt of 1857 to now housing the school museum, it has witnessed time’s bend. It speaks of tradition and heritage in the same breath. For decades, our College has stood unshaken, adapting, growing, and yet fiercely holding on to the spirit that has earned itself a position among India’s finest institutions.

La Martiniere Girls' College

Born from the belief that dialogue can shape destinies, La Martiniere Girls’ Model United Nations exists between the crossroads of conviction and dedication. Since its inception in 2014, LMGMUN has grown into more than a conference- it has become a crucible where young minds are tempered by debate, sharpened by dissent, and guided toward the pursuit of collective progress. Here, words are not passive instruments, they are tools of persuasion, reconciliation, and real, active change. The eleventh convening of LMGMUN marks more than the mere passage of time- it proclaims the endurance of an idea. Over three days of immersive deliberation, delegates will step into spaces where consensus is fragile, alliances are fluid, and responsibility rests heavy upon every voice raised. This Eleventh Edition aspires to awaken in each participant an understanding that peace is neither accidental nor effortless- it is carefully constructed through resilient unity, stubborn determination, and invincible courage.
